Bayard (Paris, France). In 1903, Étienne Forbin was the agent for Nauheim & Co (New York). In 1912 he registered several trademarks for the pens he distributed: Bayard, Excelsior, Alpin, etc. Some were made in workshops in Arbois (Jura). In 1922 his nephews succeeded him and the company name became Panici Frères et Cie. The initials P.F. appear on the nibs. The workshops on rue des Cordelières in Paris gave the business a new dimension. It went on to hold a leading position in the French market, before being swept away, like so many others, by the downturn of the sixties.
