La Tradition de l'Écriture was born of the passion that Jules Le Cour and his son Eric share for antique writing instruments. Today the house specialises in antique writing accessories: inkwells, fountain pens, dip pens, mechanical pencils and desk accessories.

At French and European antiques fairs, and at pen shows in the United States and Japan, it presents one of the finest collections of inkwells, fountain pens and nibs.

Eric Le Cour devotes his expertise to restoring antique pens, giving them a second life. He is a member of the Cercle des experts de Paris en objets d'art et antiquités (C.E.P.O.A.A.).
